Wilford "Bill" Jeffers Obituary (1938 - 2010)

Wilford "Bill" Jeffers, 72, of Pana, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in Prairie Rose Heath Care Center. He was born March 14, 1938 in Mattoon, IL, the son of Paul Edna (Buxton) Jeffers. Bill lived in the Sullivan Pana areas, and served in the U.S. Army. He owned operated a coin vending machine company, and drove the Christian County Senior Citizens van. Bill married Donna Carpenter in 1956. The later divorced. He then married Sue Rider in 1978 and she survives in Pana, IL. Also surviving are his daughters: Pam Brown husband Fred, Venice, FL and Penny Landrus husband Kevin, Sullivan, IL; step children: Doug Gibson, Chrisman, IL and Denise Dameris husband Andy, Pana, IL; 4 grandchildren: Joseph Brown, Matthew Brown, Jennifer England, Calen Landrus; 4 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren: Logan Dameris Brenna Dameris; and sister: Evelyn McBride, Mattoon, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; step son, Dwayne Gibson in 1989; brother, Donald Jeffers. Funeral Information Cremation rights were accorded. No services are planned at this time.
