Wanda N. Caraker Obituary (1944 - 2007)

Wanda Caraker, 62 of Pana died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 7:24 p.m. in Pana Community Hospital. She was born October 22, 1944 in Hardinsburg, Kentucky, the daughter of Thurman Virginia Ruth Stinnett Vance. Wanda was a homemaker and also had worked at Maustell's in Shelbyville for several years. She was a member of Cloud 9 Ranch, Caulfield, MO and St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pana. Wanda married Charles F. Caraker, Sr. on November 25, 1966 in Mattoon, IL. She is survived by her husband: Charles Caraker, Pana, IL; children:John E. Caraker wife Sherri, Rosiclair, IL; James E. Caraker wife Christina, Pana, IL; Jeffery E. Caraker fiance Michelle, Tennessee; Ruth Irene Hathaway, Vandalia, IL; Charles F. Caraker, Jr., Winona, MO; Mary Lou Best husband Randy, Winona, MO; 25 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters: Mary Ellen Waters, Hernando, FL; Junita M. Amos, Oshkosh, WI; Merlene Wittenburg, Charleston, IL; and Nina Ferguson, Charleston, IL. She was preceded in death by her father, Thurman Vance, mother Virginia Ruth Strong, brothers Donald Vance Thurman E. Vance, and her sisters Beverly S. Butler Richman Virginia J. Tart. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Monday, April 30, 2007 in St. Paul Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Martin Eden officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
