Virgil Leroy Jett Obituary (1936 - 2008)

Virgil Leroy Jett, 71, of Pana, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Prairie Rose Health Care Center, Pana. Mr. Jett was born March 20, 1936, the son of Guy Helen Jenkins Jett. Virgil attended school at Taylorville and lived there for many years. He served in the U.S. Army, and then worked at Fiat-Allis until it closed. He retired from the maintenance department at Kemmerer Village. Virgil was a member of the Word of God Lutheran Church, Pana. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. Virgil married Terry Denton on May 25, 1989. Surviving are his wife, Terry Jett, Pana, IL; sons: Ronald Jett wife Carol, Auburn, IL Eric Denton, Ramsey, IL; daughters: Tammy Stuart husband Richard L., Edinburg, IL; Deborah Huss husband David, Taylorville, IL; Nikki Fleck husband Mike, Olathe, KS; Kelly Cole husband Steve, Bethany, IL; Dawn Jarboe husband Steve, Paducah, KY; grandchildren: Joseph, Jake, Darla, Jenni, Stephanie, Ryan, Justin, Laikin, Adam, Sebastian; great grandchildren: Makayla, Madison, Layla, Lucas; sister, Marlene Gibson husband Danny, Kincaid, IL; his dogs: Mooch Baby Girl. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clyde Jett; infant daughter, Pamela Sue. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 12 noon in Word of God Lutheran Church, Pana. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the church. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery, Herrick, Illinois.
