Terry Lee Cripe Obituary (1956 - 2017)

Terry Lee Cripe, 60, of Nokomis, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in his residence. He was born June 27, 1956 in Vandalia, son of the late Merlin Lee & Sylvanna Edna (Brod) Cripe. Terry was born & raised in the Vandalia area, later moving to Decatur. On October 27, 2001, Terry went on a first date with his best friend, Monica Reed, and they were married on May 7, 2006. Terry was the owner & operator of Cripe Manufactured Housing Services. He was also a licensed auctioneer, as well as a member of the Illinois Manufactured Housing Association. He loved going to garage sales, going to auctions and helping with Haycraft Auctions for over 30 years. He enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Nascar Sprint Cup Series racing, and getaways to Tunica & Biloxi for gambling. Terry is survived by his wife: Monica Cripe, Nokomis, IL; children: Dawn Cripe, Jason Cripe, & Joshua J.D. Cripe; step son: Anthony Krivi; 2 grandchildren, including his grandson Jayden Cripe, with whom he had a special bond; brothers: Rick Cripe, Joe Cripe & Larry Cripe; & sister: Diane (Gary) Pettijohn. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Amanda Richards officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded.
