Sarah Marie Carnahan Obituary (1920 - 2006)

Sarah Marie Carnahan, 86, of Pana went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 4, 2006 at 2:10 p.m. in Pana Community Hospital. She was born April 6, 1920 in Pana, the daughter of Delos Milo and Mamie Donaldson Jacobs. Marie lived her entire life in Pana, except for two years spent in Villa Grove, Illinois when she got married. She was a meat cutter at Rudow's Market and Johnston's IGA, retiring in 1989. Marie was also a member of Pana First Church of the Nazarene for over 60 years, Prime Timers, and Pana Towers Activity Club. She married Ross Carnahan on June 17, 1950 in Villa Grove, Illinois by Rev. E.L. Latham. Marie is survived by her sons: John Carnahan and wife Cindy, Forsyth, MO and Paul Carnahan and wife Kay, Stonington, IL; 4 grandchildren: Angela, Christopher, Amanda, Michael and wife Darcie; 7 great grandchildren: Lucas, Ehtyn, Jacob, Austin, Alysha, Brea, Keirsten; brother: James Jacobs, Concord, CA; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on December 2, 1975; sisters: Edith Borgman, Helen Matthews, Margret Miller, and Ethel Hupp; brothers: Francis Jacobs and John Jacobs; one niece; one nephew; and one great niece. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2006 from 4-7 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 7, 2006 in Pana First Church of the Nazarene at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Allen Ebbler, Rev. Lila Chaplin, Rev. Tom Hunter, and Rev. Jim Cornell officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana, IL.
