Robert "Scotty" Glick Obituary (1933 - 2022)

Robert "Scotty" Glick, 89, of Tower Hill passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL. He was born January 28, 1933 in Tower Hill to the late Ross & Hattie (Godfrey) Glick. He married Betty Wade on June 14, 1954 in Shelbyville and she survives in Tower Hill. Robert was a graduate of Tower Hill High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from Caterpillar after 30 years, working in Quality Control and farmed his entire life. Robert was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church, Pana and a former Tower Hill Lions club member. He enjoyed cutting wood, playing tennis & ping-pong and going to Texas every winter. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren & great grandchildren. Along with his wife, he is survived by his children: Dennis (Patty) Glick, Texas; Vicki Glick-Ade, Pana, IL; Sandy (Andy) Strohm, St. Louis, MO; 7 grandchildren: Josh (Crystal) Huff, Ashley (Wes) Fuller, Brianna (Wes) Ade-Embry, Megan (Matt) Daugherty, Emily (Zane) Mays, Caitlin Strohm, Drew Strohm; 11 great grandchildren and siblings: John (Arlene) Glick & Shirley Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents & siblings: Donald Glick, Cathy Wicker & Jerry Glick. Funeral services for Robert will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 in the First United Pentecostal Church, Pana at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jonathan Blake officiating. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery with military rites by Pana Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. in the church. Memorials in Robert's honor may be made to AAMP (Autism & Movement Project) in Pana and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
