Robert A. "Bob" Sanders Obituary (1939 - 2007)

Robert A. "Bob" Sanders, 68, of Pana died Monday, October 8, 2007 in Hillsboro Area Hospital. He was born May 30, 1939 in Oconee, IL, son of Arthur Earl Alta Keeling Sanders. He lived his entire life in the Oconee Pana area except when he was away for work. He was a retired roof bolter for Peabody Coal Mine #10. He also had worked for Chicago Bridge Iron building water towers. He was a member of Knobs Baptist Church, Tower Hill. He was a coon hunter, liked the outdoors, guns and dogs. Bob married Dorothy Welburn and they were later divorced. He is survived by his children: Laura Miller husband Jesse, Virden, IL; Karen Mizeur husband Phillip, Oconee, IL; Sally Morrison husband Billy, Ohlman, IL; Toby Sanders wife Suzanna, Pana, IL; Kenny Sanders wife Darsie, Assumption, IL; 11 grandchildren: Bret Miller, Phillip Mizeur wife Lindsy, Sarah Rochkes husband Lance, Joe Mizeur, Brad Mizeur, Joni Morrison, Tara Morrison, Will Morrison, Andrew Sanders, Aden Sanders, Keegan Sanders; 6 great grandchildren: Katie, Lillyanna, Breanna, Lexie, Bradley, Baila; brother: Charlie Sanders, Tower Hill, IL; and by six sisters: Elsie Lawrence, Pana, IL; Genevieve Davis, Pana, IL; Sharon Lipe, Nokomis, IL; Vicki Elmore, Pana, IL; Carol Allen, Pana, IL; Connie Miller, Pana, IL. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cindy Gail in infancy, one grandchild, brothers Roy Clifford Sanders, and sister Dorothy Lawrence. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2007 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Oconee, IL. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
