Rita Dial Obituary (1947 - 2015)

Rita Dial, 68, of Assumption died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born March 8, 1947 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of the late Virgil D. Helen Martin Babbs. A graduate of Taylorville High School, she lived her entire life in Taylorville, Moweaqua and Assumption. Rita was a member of General Baptist Church, Moweaqua, Pana Eagles, Rebekka Lodge, Decatur. She had been a tax preparer for H R Block in Pana for 30 years, retiring last year. Rita is survived by her children: Tommy (Sheila) Dial, Steven (Tammy) Dial, and Robin (Mark) Miller, all of Assumption; 15 grandchildren: 8 great grandchildren; and brothers Gene (Sue) Babbs, Taylorville and Ronnie Babbs, Pana. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Babbs. Funeral Information Visitation will be Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Scott Bons officiating. Cremation rites will then be accorded with private inurnment at a later date.
