Reva Rochkes Obituary (1921 - 2006)

Reva Rochkes, 85, of Pana, IL, died Monday, December 11, 2006 at 7:40 a.m. in Shelbyville Manor, Shelbyville, Illinois. She was born September 3, 1921 in Ramsey, Illinois, the daughter of William and Stella Sanders Hicks. Reva had lived her entire life in the Pana area, and made her living as a homemaker and a farm wife. She enjoyed gardening, golfing, traveling and camping in Taylorville, and she also loved dancing. She was also a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Pana and the Clark School Mother's Club. Reva was also a past member of Ladies of the Elks and Ladies of the Moose in Pana. She married Edward Paul Rochkes on September 28, 1940. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lynn Rochkes, Pana, IL; 4 grandchildren: Amy Ann Rochkes, Shelbyville, IL; Paul Rochkes, Pana, IL; Lance Rochkes and fianc Sarah Mizeur, Oconee, IL; Michael Rochkes, Pana, IL; 8 great grandchildren: Wade, Lucas, Lauren, Taylor, Breanna, Alexis, Kaitlyn, and Lillyanna; brother, Lloyd Hicks and wife Dorothy, Pana, IL; 1 Niece; 1 Nephew; great nieces; and great nephews. Reva was preceded in death by her parents; husband on December 19, 1970; son, Larry Rochkes on May 3, 2005; and brothers, Norval Hicks, Paul Hicks, and Kenneth Hicks, who died in World War II. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2006 from 9-10:30am in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2006 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Don J. Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pana, Illinois.
