Paul "Jack" Dyer Obituary (1924 - 2008)

Paul "Jack" Dyer, 84, of Pana, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 in Prairie Rose Health Care Center, Pana. He was born February 4, 1924 in Baxter, TN, the son of John Myrtle Blaire Dyer. Paul lived in Tennessee before moving to Decatur, where he lived for most of his life. He had lived in Pana for the past couple of years. Paul was retired from Burks Pump Company in Decatur. He married Peggy Grizzle. They were later divorced and she preceded him in death. Paul is survived by his children: Linda Manuel special son-in-law, James R. Manuel, Decatur, IL; Pam Weissinger husband Pete, Detroit, MI; Roger Dyer wife Angela, Portland, TN; Edna Bagley husband Larry, Cottontown, TN; 28 grandchildren; several great great-great grandchildren; sister: Helen Adcock husband Bill, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sons: Earl Patterson, Gordon Patterson, Junnie Gillman, Larry Dyer in infancy; 5 brothers sisters. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lawrence Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Twin Pines Cemetery, Pana. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
