Olive E. Vincent Obituary (1928 - 2010)

Olive E. Vincent, 82, of Pana, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in her home. Olive was born May 3, 1928 to Glenn and Juanita Glick in Pana. She graduated as Valedictorian from Tower Hill High School in 1946 and attended Eastern Illinois University. She married Bill Emery in 1947 and he passed away in 1975. She later married Edward Vincent on July 31, 1976. Olive previously worked for the Shelby County Circuit Clerk, Shelby County Treasurers Office, retired from Shelby County Land Title Company, and then went on to work for Christian County Title Company and Spurling Title Company in Taylorville. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Dollville. Anyone who knew Olive was able to experience the great love she had for everyone. Her family meant the world to her, as she did to them. Olive leaves behind the family she treasured so much; husband, Edward Vincent, Pana; son, Bradley Emery (Deb), Decatur; daughters: Patricia Kime (Ken), Tower Hill; Janet Senger (Richard), Pacific, MO; sisters: Janie Baker, Pana Phyllis Babb, Tower Hill; sister-in-law, Ann Gerhold, Decatur; grandchildren: Traci Cutler (Lyle), Robert Emery (Sara), Michelle Witt (Mike), Nick Kime (Ashley), Bill Senger (Mary); great grandchildren: Hannah Noah Cutler; Evan Emery; Grace, Eva, Oliver Witt; Tyson Elly Kime; and two on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband. Funeral Information Olive donated her body to science to be studied at SIU School of Medicine in Carbondale. A gathering will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 4:00 p.m. in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Dollville with Rev. Neil Kaiser officiating.
