Nelson "Bill" Wilcher Obituary (1935 - 2015)

Nelson Bill Wilcher, 80, of Pana died Saturday, December 26, 2015 in Moweaqua Nursing and Retirement Center. He was born July 13, 1935 in Greenlee, Virginia, the son of the late William & Myrtle Edwards Wilcher. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Bill had lived in Assumption, Moweaqua and in Pana the past 12 years. A member of Hopewell Baptist Church, he retired from Firestone in 1980. Nelson Wilcher and Wanda Reese were married on December 13, 1958 in Wichita Falls, TX. He is survived by his wife: Wanda Wilcher, Moweaqua and by his sister Ollie Broughman, Roanoke, VA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert Wilcher, Steve Wilcher, David Wilcher; and sisters: Violet Austin and Helen Amos. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Leon Goff officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
