Nellie G. Moss Obituary (1925 - 2014)

Nellie G. Moss, 88, of Pana, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in Pana Community Hospital. She was born July 13, 1925 in Hillsboro, IL, daughter of Amon Oliver Josephine "Daisy" Campbell Logsdon. Nellie attended Pana schools, where she lived her entire life. She was a homemaker and worked at Mallory's for over 20 years until it closed, then worked at Essex Wire until it also closed. She loved to go for car rides in the evenings, looking for deer, gardening, and animals. Nellie Logsdon and Glenn Edwin Moss were married on October 19, 1941 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in September 1982. She is survived by her children: Richard Moss wife Cindy, Pana; Nancy J. Moss, Pana; Sandra Hawkins special friend Verle, Ramsey; Mike Moss wife Debbie, Pana; Karen Koonce husband Don, Shelbyville; Carrie Kehias husband Rick, Pana; Kevin Moss, Pana; and Robin Moss, Pana; special caregiver granddaughter: Lindsay Moss; 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded by her parents; son, James L. Moss; grandson, Derek Michael Moss on October 5, 2001; 2 great grandchildren; brothers: James Logsdon, Wendell Logsdon, Amon "Lodie" Logsdon, Roscoe Logsdon, Leroy Logsdon, Patrick Logsdon; sister, Mary Hunter. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Terry Walters officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
