Mr. Ray Hocq Obituary (1930 - 2005)

Ray Hocq Ray Hocq, 75, of Pana died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 6:50 p.m. in Decatur Memorial Hospital. He was born May 15, 1930 in Pana, IL, the son of Jules Denise Gouverneur Hocq. He lived his entire life in Pana and was retired from Pana Community Hospital where he was supervisor over housekeeping and laundry for over 20 years. He also had worked for Pana Ambulance and for Ralston Purina. He loved to fish, travel and his garden and grandkids. He was a past member of the Pana Sportsman's Club. On December 23, 1949, Ray married Dawn Jean Harris in Taylorville, IL. Ray is survived by his wife, Jean Hocq, Pana, IL and their children: Judy Harris husband Mike, Ramsey, IL; Butch Hocq wife Sherrie, Pana, IL; Dennis Hocq companion Jody, Pana, IL; and Mike Hocq wife Sue, Pana, IL; 12 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Jules Hocq and Emile Bouchez and sister, Marie Birch. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 27, 2005 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Orville Denton officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
