Michael "Mike" Ambrose Obituary (1962 - 2017)

Michael Mike Ambrose, 55 of Pana, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Heritage HealthPana. He was born March 25, 1962 in Pana to James A. & Judy (Hartman) Ambrose. Mike lived his entire life in Pana and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pana. He worked at the Christian County Mental Health Workshop for 33 years. Mike was an avid Cardinals fan. He looked forward to attending Camp New Hope every summer & participating in the Special Olympics. He also loved music, playing guitar, singing, crafts, swimming, fishing, and doing office work. Mike always had a smile and touched many lives. He is survived by his mother: Judy Ambrose, Pana, IL; brother: Tony (Tina) Ambrose, Pana, IL; cousins whom his parents raised: Gayle Hanlin, Leroy, IL and Rob (Judy) Ambrose, Cummings, GA; cousin: Angel (Tony) Buchberger, Normal, IL; nieces & nephews: Andrea, Lauren, Jorgia, Allyson, Megan, Matt, Brett, Gabrielle, Mackenzie, Addison, Caden, and several aunts & uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, James Ambrose on January 9, 2008. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the First United Methodist Church, Pana at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Amanda Richards & Pastor Harry Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
