Marius L. Ruot Obituary (1927 - 2007)

Marius L. Ruot, 79, of Tower Hill, died Monday, August 6, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. in his residence. He was born December 12, 1927 in Oconee Township, Shelby County, IL, the son of Eugene and Pearl Crocker Ruot. Marius was a graduate of Pana Township High School, and served in the U.S. Army. Marius owned and operated Dairy Lane Milk Store in Pana, and later was the manager of Eisner's Food Store in Pana. He lived his entire life in the Pana area, and was a member and deacon of the Hopewell Baptist Church, Pana. Marius was also a member of the Pana Jaycee's. He married Rosemary Cloe on June 14, 1992 in the Hopewell Baptist Church, Pana. Marius is survived by his wife, Rosemary Ruot, Tower Hill, IL; step children: Mike Cloe wife Janet, Carterville, IL; Linda Richardson husband John, Pana, IL; Sharon Flatt husband Tom, Pana, IL; Cathy Markham husband Steve, Fort Myers, WA; Mitch Cloe wife Vickie, Pana, IL; Mark Cloe wife Bev, Teutopolis, IL; Marty Cloe wife Evelyn, Nokomis, IL; Karen Woodland husband Gaston, Tremont, IL; Valerie Cvengros husband Chris, Tremont, IL; and Matt Cloe wife Heather, Shelbyville, IL; 39 step grandchildren; 21 step great-grandchildren; brothers sisters: Lavern Ruot wife Claudene, Pana, IL; Eugene Ruot wife Genny, Pana, IL; and Lyle Ruot wife Francis, Moweaqua, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald Ruot Roy Ruot; and sisters: Juanita Smith, Marie Dickenson, and Josephine DeMeyer. Funeral Information Visitation will be Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Don Pease officiating. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery.
