Lucile Klee Obituary (1922 - 2008)

Lucile Klee, 86, of Pana died Friday, October 3, 2008 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. Lucile was born August 16, 1922 in Pana, IL, the daughter of John Goldie Dunkel Arnett. She was a graduate of Pana Township High School, and had lived her entire life in Pana. A homemaker, Lucile was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pana where she was a member of the choir and Methodist Women. She was also a member of Pana Community Hospital Auxiliary and was a gift shop volunteer, Pana Community Council for the Arts, Fortnightly Club, Tuesday Club, Thursday Morning Bowling League where she had served as president and vice president, had delivered Meals On Wheels for Pana Senior Citizens and Pana Community Hospital, worked as a Canteen Volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Bank, and was a past member of Home Garden Club. Lucile married Joe M. Klee on October 16, 1940 in St. Charles, MO. She is survived by her daughter: Janet Jones husband Edward "Butch", Pana, IL; daughter-in-law: Phyllis Klee, Taylorville, IL; 8 grandchildren: Don Jones wife Melanie, Ron Jones, Dan Jones wife Kelli, Dennis Jones wife Mary, Steve Jones wife Angie, George Klee Jr. wife Debbie, Shannan Hobbs husband Rick, William Klee wife Sue; 23 great grandchildren: Blair, Megan, Kayleena, Marissa, Matt, Erin, Gwen, Gabbriella, Mitchell, Mallory, Emily, Ashley, Joey, Megan, Rebecca, Jonathan, Christopher, William, Alexandria, David, Robert, Kevin Ryian; 3 great-great grandchildren: Landon, Kaden Madyx; and by her half-sister: Jackie Cheramie, in Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on July 9, 1980, son George Klee in 1990, and by her brother Lowell "Dusty" Arnett. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 8, 2008 in First United Methodist Church of Pana at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. David Hultberg officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana.
