Lorraine "Shorty" Roarke Obituary (1922 - 2008)

Lorraine "Shorty" Roarke, 86, of Pana, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Heritage Manor-Pana. She was born July 16, 1922 in Pana, the daughter of Guy and Hazle Denbow Tarvin. Lorraine had lived most of her life in the Pana area, and was a graduate of Pana Township High School, Class of 1940. She was a homemaker, and she had worked in the ammunition plant in Illiopolis, IL during World War II. Lorraine married Francis Roarke on June 30, 1966. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her son: Richard Mars, Oak Harbor, WA; brothers sisters: Guy Tarvin, Jr., Lodi, CA Roberta Winn, Lodi, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Friday, December 26, 2008 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Allen Ebbler officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
