Joy D. Leach Obituary (1933 - 2014)

Joy D. Leach 80, of Oconee died Saturday, April 5, 2014 in her home. She was born July 12, 1933 in Hanson, IL, the daughter of Lee Ina Murphy Summerlott. A graduate of Pana High School Class of 1951, she was a wife and homemaker and enjoyed sewing and crafts. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Taylorville, IL. Joy Summerlott and Kenneth Leach were united in marriage on October 11, 1953 in the Oconee Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Leach, Oconee, IL; children: Don Leach wife Sandy, Urbandale, IA; Debra Reising husband Ron, St. James, MO; Dennis Leach wife Violet, Greer, SC; Denise Brown husband Brian, Monrovia, IN; grandchildren: Rebecca (Dennis) Pallwitz; Kasandra Leach, Elizabeth Ande Goodman, Daniel Reising, Tyler (Patty) Reising, Heather Reising, Josiah Reising, Emily Reising, Samuel Reising, Timothy Reising, Meghan Leach, Ryan Leach, Tyler Leach, Hannah (Dan) Cline, Karen Brown, Breanna Brown; great grandchildren: Nathanael Pallwitz, Ruth Pallwitz, Nick Reising; sister: Barb Cade, Ramsey, IL; and by her sister-in-law: Linda Summerlott, Pana, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jack Summerlott. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Grace Baptist Church, Taylorville at 11:00 a .m. with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 until time of service at the church. As per Joy's request, cremation rites will be accorded.
