Henry F. "Butch" Burrus Obituary (1922 - 2017)

Henry F. Butch Burrus, 95, of Pana, died Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Heritage HealthPana. He was born February 17, 1922 in Ramsey, son of the late Frank H. & Della (Jackson) Burrus. Butch served in World War II. He worked as a farmer and was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church, Pana & Knights of Columbus, Pana. Henry Burrus & Genevieve T. McBride were married on March 2, 1946 in Assumption. He is survived by wife, Genevieve Burrus, Pana, IL; children: Bob Burrus, Pana, IL; Cheryl Doolin, Shelbyville, IL; Dean (Vicki) Burrus, Pana, IL; Linda (Steve) Helton, San Antonio, TX; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; & 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Cook. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Marianna Sathuluri officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pana with graveside military rites by Roy Ireland Post #317 American Legion, Oconee. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the rosary begins at 1:20 p.m. at the funeral home.
