Genevieve Davis Obituary (1933 - 2015)

Genevieve Davis, 81, of Pana, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in Prairie Rose Health Care Center, Pana. She was born August 25, 1933 in Fayette County, Bowling Green Township, to the late Arthur Earl Alta Keeling Sanders. Genevieve was a graduate of Pana High School and lived most of her life in Pana. She was a homemaker, but had worked at Mallory's, Johnston's, Sugar Creek Creamery N.O.P.A. She was a member of the Pana Christian Church. Genevieve Sanders and Charles L. Davis were married on July 5, 1952 in Pana. He preceded her on March 5, 2006. She is survived by her children: Patty S. Cox, Tower Hill, IL; Mark E. Davis fiance Debi, Tower Hill, IL; Charles V. Davis wife Kendra, Pana, IL; 9 grandchildren: Derrick Davis, Amber Davis, Tyler Davis, Dakota Davis, Mark Davis, Jr., Beth Kircher, Dennis Cox, Nicholas Cox, Matthew Cox; 10 great grandchildren; sisters:Sharon Lipe, Nokomis, IL; Carol Allen husband Steve, Pana, IL; Vicki Elmore, Pana, IL; Connie Miller husband Dennis, Pana, IL; and brother: Charles Sanders wife Rosie, Tower Hill, IL. She was also preceded by brothers: Roy Sanders, Clifford Sanders, Robert Sanders; sisters: Dorothy Lawrence Elsie Lawrence. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Friday, July 17, 2015 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave Altman officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
