Evelyn M. Hudson Obituary (1922 - 2008)

Evelyn M. Hudson, 85, of Pana, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in Pana Community Hospital. She was born May 7, 1922 in Pana, the daughter of Bryan Louise Huttes Huffmaster. Evelyn graduated from Chester High School in Chester, IL, and then from St. Mary's School of Nursing in East St. Louis, IL. She served in the U.S. Army as a nurse until 1945, and then went to Scott Air Force Base to work as a nurse. Evelyn also worked in the OB unit of Pana Community Hospital until 1952. She lived and worked in Arizona, coming back Pana several years ago. She enjoyed needlework, sewing, and needlepoint. Evelyn is survived by her sister: Phyllis Holthaus husband Harold, Pana, IL and several nieces nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents twin brothers, Keith Kenneth Huffmaster. Funeral Information Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. in Mound Cemetery, Pana with Rev. Don J. Roberts officiating.
