Erica "Diann" Pall Obituary (1956 - 2020)

Erica "Diann" Pall, 64 of Pana passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was born March 30, 1956 in Gary, IN to the late John & Martha (Bell) Lira. She married Walter "Wally" Pall in Henderson, KY and he preceded her on September 29, 2009. Diann worked as a truck driver for several years and drove a van for Robert's Express. She also owned and operated Grandma Martha's Daycare and was a home health provider. She was a faithful member of both First United Pentecostal Church, Pana, and Mercy Center Apostolic Church, Shelbyville. She was a very active member in her churches and especially enjoyed working with the children. She spent countless hours praying for others and reading her Bible, which she had done fully 21 times. Diann opened her home to everyone she knew, friends and family the same, and made sure they were always fed before they left as cooking was a great hobby of hers. Diann is best described by those who knew her as a Godly person who was quick to love and quick to forgive. Diann is survived by her children: Renee Ippolito, Mattoon, IL; Magan Nuncio, San Antonio, TX; Regina (Michael) Plappert, Mattoon, IL; Angela (Eric) Cloe, Terre Haute, IN; Anthony Pall, Terre Haute, IN; Holly (Mike) Pugsley, Pana, IL; step-children: Lisa Bono, Westville, IN; Tammy Ippolito, New Lenox, IL; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren: siblings: Brenda (Gary) Bruns, Pana, IL; John (Chris) Lira, Cedar Lake, IN: and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband she was also preceded by a daughter, Erica Ippolito and siblings: David Lira, Peter Lira, and Susan Vargas. Funeral services for Diann will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 in First United Pentecostal Church, Pana at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Eric Riley and Pastor Jonathan Blake officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church. Memorials in Diann's honor may be made to First United Pentecostal Church for Foreign Missions and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
