Enola M. Blankenship Obituary (1919 - 2011)

Enola M. Blankenship, 91, of rural Nokomis died Friday, January 21, 2011 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born January 30, 1919 in Oconee Township, Shelby County, the daughter of Archie Earl Rosie Agnes Batton Hawkins. She was a graduate of Taylorville Township High School and lived most of her life in the Christian and Montgomery County areas. She was a farm wife and a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Fairview United Methodist Women, Rosalind Chapter #736 Order of Eastern Star, Christian County Home Extension and Christian County Farm Bureau. Enola married William Clement Blankenship. She is survived by her children: David Blankenship wife Katie, Wheaton, IL and Pamela Hebert husband Ervin, Nokomis, IL; 8 grandchildren: Jennifer Doles husband Mark, Jill Guth husband Rob, Michael Blankenship wife Jackie, Matthew Blankenship, Nikki Hebert, Nina Casner husband Ryan, Adrian Hebert, Ashley Hebert; and by 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father in 1986, mother in 1995, husband in 1977, and by her brother Russell Dean Hawkins. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in Fairview United Methodist Church, rural Nokomis at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ric Miles officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, rural Nokomis. Friends may call one hour prior to the service in the church.
