Eleanor L. Tate Obituary (1916 - 2007)

Eleanor L. Tate, 90, of Pana died Friday, June 15, 2007 in Pana Community Hospital. She was born September 5, 1916, in Pana, the daughter of Frank Agnes Dowell Umpleby. Eleanor attended MacMurray College and received a degree in music. She was a homemaker and, along with her late husband, owned, and operated Pana Paint Wallpaper until their retirement in 1972. Eleanor was a member of the First United Methodist Church; Arcana Chapter Order of Eastern Star and past office of Chapter HD P. E. O. all in Pana. She married Forrest M. "Frosty" Tate on November 28, 1936. He died May 1, 1990. Eleanor is survived by her very close friends, John and the late Mary Bohannon of Pana and their daughters Ann Debra; her first cousin: Dr. James Dowell, Lawrence Kansas; and by her second cousin: Gene Kessinger, Stillwell, Kansas. Funeral Information Graveside memorial services will be held Monday, June 25, 2007 in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. In-Sook Hwang officiating.
