Dorothy M.M. Wood Obituary (1921 - 2013)

Dorothy M. M. Wood, 91, of Pana, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born December 19, 1921 in Lansing, IL, the daughter of Leonard Mollie Walters Mohr. Dorothy came to Pana in 1973. She was a housewife, worked at Kelly Potato Chips in Decatur and retired from cooking at Rose Bud Restaurant in Pana. She loved to cook and made homemade noodles to sell Dorothy Mohr married Bernard L. Wood on June 5, 1945 in Corning, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1999. She is survived by her children: David Wood, Decatur, IL; Barbara husband Walter Garner, Jr., Decatur, IL; Gary Wood, Houma, Louisiana; and Roger D. Wood wife Shanda, Pana, IL; sisters:Evelyn Atwood, Crown Point, Indiana and Shirley Alexander husband Jim, Huron, Indiana; brothers-in-law: Art Young, Highland, IN Roger Kuketz in Arizona; 12 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Dorothy was preceded by her parents; brothers: Melvin Mohr Daniel Mohr; and sisters: Laura Young Pat Kuketz. Funeral Information Graveside memorial services will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 in Price Cemetery, Oconee, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Curtis L. Leslie officiating. Family and friends will gather at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m. to proceed to the cemetery.
