Dorothy B. LeDuc Obituary (1928 - 2007)

Dorothy LeDuc, 79, of Pana, died Monday, April 2, 2007 at 10:50 p.m. in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was born January 29, 1928 in Millersville, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Blanche Gildersleeve Puckett. Dorothy lived her entire life in the Pana area, and was a graduate of Pana Township High School. She retired from the dietary department at Prairie Rose Health Care Center, and she also worked for Moon's Laundry and Hucks, as well as babysitting. Dorothy was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Pana; VFW Auxiliary, Pana; and Pana Eagles. She married Edward LeDuc, and he preceded her in death on January 15, 1986. She is survived by her children: Sharon Kay Swisher husband John, Nokomis, IL; Linda Darnell husband Kenneth, Pana, IL; Jeanette Martz husband Lynn, Shelbyville, IL; and Donna Bowers, Moweaqua, IL; 7 grandchildren: Stacy Ethridge, Stephanie Wemple, Paul D. White, Jr., Edward Dale White, Jennifer Woodall, Kris Bowers, and Justin Bowers; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers: Paul Puckett, Pana, IL; Carl Puckett, Assumption, IL; Ronald Puckett, Pana, IL; and Kenny Puckett, Decatur, IL; and sisters: Betty Temmen and Helen Eddy, both of Pana. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carol Sue LeDuc; and sister, Barbara Webb. Funeral Information Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 5, 2007 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Marilyn Rauch officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pana.
