Delbert E. Presnell Obituary (1929 - 2015)

Delbert E. Presnell, 86, of Pana died Friday, October 16, 2015 in Heritage Health-Pana. He was born April 30, 1929 in Pana, the son of Chester Allen Mary Agnes Hill Presnell. Delbert was a graduate of Pana High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He had lived in Nebraska, Ohio, Minnesota and Arizona, before moving back to Pana in 2006. Before his retirement, he was a manager at Associated Milk Producers. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spoiling his grandchildren. Delbert E. Presnell and Vivian June Maton were united in marriage on November 26, 1951 He is survived by his children: Dennis Hayes, DeSoto, WI; Connie Lamb, Apache Junction, AZ; Jean Ann Webb, San Tan Valley, AZ; Bill Presnell, Mansfield, TX; Ken Presnell, Rochester, MN; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers: Jack Presnell and Wayne Presnell, both of Pana, IL; sisters: Bernice Benn, Bloomington, IL; and JoAnne Matlock and Marcella Culberson, both of Yorkville, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Presnell; mother, Mary A. "Grandma Sally" Presnell; wife, Vivian in 2012; sister, Janice Presnell; and his brother, Harry Presnell. Funeral Information Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Family and friends will then proceed to Mound Cemetery, Pana for graveside services with military rites by Pana Veterans Honor Guard.
