Cortinee L. Smith Obituary (1977 - 2014)

Cortinee L. Smith, 36, of Pana died Monday, April 14, 2014 in her home. She was born November 6, 1977 in Decatur, IL. Cortinee was a CNA and had worked at Prairie Rose Health Care, Heritage Manor and Shelbyville Manor. Cortinee married James Russell and they later divorced. They became parents of three children: Dylan Russell, Zaibry Russell and Kezdyn Russell, all who survive in Pana, IL. She is also survived by her father and step mother: Rick Joy Smith; mother Cindy Miles all of Pana, IL; sisters: Calee Castle husband Tyler, Pana, IL; Mindy Niezgodzki husband Todd in Arizona; Lori Scott, Taylorville, IL; Carrie Gorden husband Joe, Blue Mound, IL; grandparents: Bob Sue Smith and Helen Miles, all of Pana, IL; step grandmothers: Joyce Yard, Morrisonville, IL; Carolyn Yard, Taylorville, IL; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Dean Joyce Miles and her step grandfather Leroy Yard. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 12:00 noon with Pastor Stan Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
