Claudia F. Miller Obituary (1924 - 2014)

Claudia F. Miller, 89 of Pana, formerly of Benson, IL died Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Pana Community Hospital. She was born May 7, 1924 in Cobden, IL, the daughter of the late Claude Will Shalotta Louise May McKane Horn. She had lived in Cobden, then Elgin briefly, and lived in the Roanoke-Benson area most of her life, before moving to Pana in 2006. She was a CNA and had worked in a nursing home in Roanoke. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, collecting knick-knacks loved her family. She was a member of Benson Baptist Church and the Women's Ministry. Claudia Horn and Roy Lee Miller were united in marriage in Cobden, IL in 1941. He died in February 1977. She is survived by their children: Roy Miller, Jr. wife Charlotte, Lansing, KS; Dallas Miller wife Peggy, Peoria, IL; Don Miller wife Toni, Roanoke, IL; Dan Miller wife Lisa, Benson, IL; Janet Fox husband Gary, Greencastle, IN; Perry Miller wife Nancy, Mena, AR; Randy Miller wife Mildred, Tower Hill, IL; Ruth Ann Hull, Glendale, AZ; 27 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Laura Mae Horn Larsen Anderson and Hazel Lottie Horn Murphy. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Friday, May 2, 2014 in Benson Baptist Church at 12:00 noon with Rev. Robert Snow, Pastor Randy Miller and Gary Fox officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Township Cemetery, Benson. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until of service in the church.
