Christine "Chris" Reed Obituary (1939 - 2016)

Christine Chris Reed, 76, of Assumption died Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Memorial Medical Center. She was born November 29, 1939 in Decatur, IL, daughter of the late Harry & Marjorie (Benard) Snyder. Living most of her life in the Assumption area, she had driven a school bus for Assumption District #9 and had been employed at Kemmerer Village. Christine Snyder and Daniel L. Reed were married on March 25, 1957 in Assumption. She is survived by her husband Daniel L. Reed, Assumption; children: David L. (Selena) Reed and Daniel L. (Betty) Reed, both of Assumption; Carol J. Reed, Norfolk, VA; Diane M. (Brian) Wright, Moweaqua; 5 grandchildren: Nicholas (Chelsea) Wright, James Michael Reed, Katie Lee Reed, Eric Reed, Steven Reed; great granddaughter: Izabelle Wright; brothers Larry Snyder, New Lenox, IL and Joe Snyder, Decatur; sisters Debbie Burcham, Decatur and Loretta Jane Bunny Noren, Taylorville. She was preceded by her brother Jimmy Snyder. The family wishes to thank Heritage Health of Pana for their care. Funeral Information Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
