Catherine L. Mueller Obituary (1947 - 2012)

Catherine L. Mueller, 64, of Pana, died Monday, September 3, 2012 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was born November 5, 1947 in Marysville, CA, the daughter of Gene Ellenora Ballard Davis. Catherine came to Pana from Nevada City, California in 1995. She worked 27 years for Pacific Bell Telephone Company as an engineer before her retirement, where she designed the fiber optics distribution lines. Catherine attended United In Faith Church, Pana where she was very active. She was also a member of the United In Faith Quilters Club, Tuesday Club, Friday Club, Pana Garden Club, treasurer for Christian County Republican Women's Club, Community Council for the Arts. She served in many capacities in all organizations in which she was involved. She loved to travel and had been in most states. Catherine L. Davis and Kenneth Mueller were united in marriage on March 10, 1979 in Nevada City, California. She is survived by her husband:Kenneth Mueller, Pana, IL; mother: Ellenora Davis, California; 4 nieces nephews 6 great nieces & nephews; brother: Nathan Davis, Laughlin, NV; sisters: Terry Jennings husband David, Cambria, CA and Jan VanLiew husband Dana, Woodland, CA. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral Information A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 in United In Faith Church, Pana at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marilyn Rauch officiating. A time of sharing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Cremation rites were accorded.
