Carol Susan "Susie" Denton Obituary (1957 - 2016)

Carol Susan "Susie" Denton, 58, passed away on January 6, 2016 in her home in Pana, IL. Susie was born on July 3, 1957 to William Kook and Catherine Munie Kook. Susie was the youngest of three. Susie was a good student; she enjoyed tree climbing, drawing, sewing, and girl scouts. She graduated from Pana High School in 1975. In 1979, she met Eric Denton, and on February 28, 1981, the two were married at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Soon after, in 1982, they had a son, Christopher, and in 1986, a daughter, Anne Marie. Susie dedicated her life to her family. She was a wife, a mother, a sister, a cook, a seamstress, a nurse, a housekeeper, a teacher, and a best friend. Susie enjoyed gardening and spending time outside. She took great pride in her home. She also enjoyed sewing. Susie was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Church. She donated countless hours to the Parish, and Sacred Heart School. Susie also enjoyed spending time with friends and a new grandson, Denton. Susie is survived by her husband, Eric Denton; son, Christopher Denton; daughter, Anne Marie Denton (Dan) Chappelear; sister, Judy (Max) Zimmerman; and brother, Bill (Barb) Kook. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, William Kook and Catherine Munie Kook, and nephew, Paul Kook. Funeral Information Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home with rosary at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond.
