Bonnie F. Barker Obituary (1946 - 2018)

Bonnie F. Barker, 71, of Vandalia passed way Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was born October 8, 1946 in Highland, IL to the late Freeman & Wilma (McCray) Zbinden. Bonnie was raised in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed game shows, especially The Price Is Right & Wheel of Fortune. She also enjoyed doing crosswords and playing Bingo. Bonnie married Tony L. Barker on October 19, 1965 in New Buffalo, MI. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2011. She is survived by her children: Lawrence Leroy (Dorothy) Barker, Vandalia, IL; Rodney (Rachel) Barker, Vandalia, IL; Michelle (Robert) Marshall, Vandalia, IL; grandchildren: Rodney II, Lacinda, Trevor, Allie, Alexzander, Chloe, Abbey; 10 great grandchildren; and brothers: Tom (Roberta) Zbinden, Greenville, IL; Joe (Joy) Zbinden, West Frankfort, IL; Robert (Anna) Zbinden, Alhambra, IL. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Codie; brothers: Harry Zbinden, Jack Thomason & Ed Zbinden; and sisters: Barb Alts, Ruth Ann Elam & Doreen Zbinden. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Spring Hill Cemetery, Beecher City, IL with Pastor Tracy Zimmerman, Pastor John Heston & Pastor Joe Zbinden officiating. Memorials in Bonnie's name may be made to the family.
