Beverly A. Gatewood Obituary (1949 - 2017)

Beverly A. Gatewood, 67, of Rosamond died Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born May 27, 1949 in Pana, daughter of the late Cecil & Edith (Slater) Manuel. Beverly lived in the Pana area her entire life and was a member St. Patricks Catholic Church, Pana. She had worked for G.E., Mallorys, & Galley, and was a waitress at the Rosebud Caf for 33 years. She loved making people laugh and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved moon gazing with special nephew, Kirby Manuel. Beverly Manuel and Charles Zandy Gatewood, Jr. were married on November 11, 1967 in Assumption and he survives in Rosamond, IL. She is also survived by her daughters: Crystal (John Brillo) Maton, Pana, IL & Nealy (John) Hicks, Sparta, IL; grandchildren: Nickolas (Kiley) Maton, Sydney Maton, Zackary Maton, Drake Hicks, Amelia Hicks; great granddaughter, Aria Maton; brother: Donnie (Lorraine) Manuel, Pana, IL; brother-in-law: Wayne Reedy, Rosamond, IL; and several nieces & nephews. She was also preceded by sisters: Norma Whittington, Eva Dean Dodd, Patty Dull, Viola Reedy; brothers: Garold Manuel & Bobby Manuel. Funeral Information Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Rodney A. Schwartz officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Oconee. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
