Arthur "Pren" Miller Obituary (1927 - 2020)

Arthur "Pren" Miller, 92, of Pana, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, KY. He was born December 10, 1927 in Beecher City, IL to the late Clinton A. & Dorothy Jane (Wood) Miller. He married Martha L. "Marty" Laker on June 17, 1950 at First Baptist Church, Pana and she preceded him on November 16, 2012. Pren was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army. Before retirement he was a truck driver. Pren was a member of First Baptist Church, Pana. His favorite pastime was fixing and building things. When he visited his children, they would give him little projects to keep busy. The most important things in his life always remained his family and his church. Pren's life montra, which he could be heard saying over and over again was "The good Lord has been good to me". Pren is survived by his children: Gary (Becky) Miller, Elizabethtown, KY; James Miller, Mesa, AZ; Debbie (John) Stanwood, Collinsville, CT; Janet Patriakea, Pana, IL; Dennis (Susie) Miller, Salida, CO; Greg Miller (Amy Clark), Pana, IL; grandchildren: Annetta, Aaron, Lowel, Kristen, JohnMichael, Jenna, Randy, Phillip, Chris, Lily Grace, Pren, Cody, Donnie, Chloe; great-grandchildren: Zaylee Don, Olivia, Lowell, Crystal, Willow, Harley, Logan, Andrew; He is survived by brothers: Lemuel, Arnold, and Larry Miller and sister Janet Hoehn. He was preceded by son Donnie in 1969 and brothers Alva, Loren, Clinton, Leroy and Donald Miller. A graveside service for Pren will be held Friday, November 6, 2020 in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Nat Kealen officiating. Military rites will be accorded by Pana Veterans Honor Guard. An additional memorial service will be held at a later date for those unable to attend. Memorials in Pren's honor may be made to First Baptist Church Pana and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, who is assisting the family.
