April "Pooh" Bergland Obituary (1965 - 2015)

April Lynn "Pooh" Bergland, 50, of Owaneco died Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. She was born June 28, 1965 in Valparaiso, IN, the daughter of Marvin Ray Barbara Jeanette Hinton Craig. She was a graduate of high school in Decatur where she lived prior to moving to Texas, but has lived in Pana since. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Pana, where she was in charge of the Angel Tree and taught children's Sunday school classes, member of Beta Sigma Phi for several years, and was a volunteer for Faith in Action. She enjoyed arts craft, especially jewelry. April married Gary Bergland and he survives in Texas. She is also survived by her son Michael Bergland, Owaneco, IL; mother Barbara Craig, Owaneco, IL; sisters Janet Bergland, Texas and Pammella Jones husband Todd, Decatur, IL. She was preceded in death by her father and brothers, Richard Craig LaVern Craig. Funeral Information A memorial service will be Thursday, October 1, 2015 in First Church of the Nazarene, Pana at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Beeson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the church. Cremation rites were accorded and no inurnment services are planned.
