Alice L. Henry Obituary (1916 - 2008)

Alice L. Henry, 91, of Pana, died Monday, February 25, 2008 in St. John's Hospice, Springfield. She was born July 5, 1916 in LeRoy, IL, the daughter of Virgil Mary Catherine Martin Short. Alice came to Pana from Nokomis in 1961, and was a waitress most of her life, as well as a homemaker. She was also a member of the Bible Baptist Church, Pana. Alice married Harold Kaiser, and he preceded her in death. She then married Marcel Henry, and he also preceded her in death. Alice is survived by her children: Chet Kaiser wife Millie, Springfield, IL; Kathryn Mueller, Montrose, IL; Patsy Handy, Pana, IL; 11 Grandchildren: Diana, Rick, Pat, Kent, Donna Kay, Denise, Mike, Ronnie, Debbie, Angie, Kenny; 21 Great Grandchildren: Tim, Kari, Chase, Haleigh, Braden, Debbie, David, Terri, Mandy, Steve, Jr., Colten, Alan, Tom, Josh, Justin, Shireen, Kaley, Neely, Lainey, Kara, Carson; 18 Great-Great Grandchildren: Samantha, Kyle, Elliott, Colin, Noah, Madelyn, Dalton, Tyler, Bethany, Alicia, Hunter, Waylan, Steve, Laci, Dakota, Parker, Tyler, Isabella; brothers sisters: Gertrude Lees and Delano Short, both of Bloomington, IL Fay Bowers, Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Eddie R. Kaiser on January 26, 2003; great grandson, Austin; 3 brothers: Ervin Short, Harvey Short, John Short; sister, Alta Wilson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Friday, February 29, 2008 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Don Farris officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 1:30 p.m. until time of service in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
